In your PioneerRx software, you can link auto payment to a patient’s profile through an A/R account or credit card. This default payment will automatically populate at the point-of-sale, including delivery or curbside pickup transactions. The patient’s card information will be hidden using tokenization for added security.

Auto Payment is an especially important feature amid current COVID-19 circumstances.

Having auto pay set up is safer for both the pharmacy staff and the patient. It decreases the amount of contact needed when a patient picks up a prescription and speeds up the transaction.

A new notification has also been added in the system, so that the pharmacy is notified when a patient does not already have auto pay set up. This acts as a reminder to call and get payment information before the patient arrives to pick up their prescription.
