Shreveport, LA – PioneerRx is now fully integrated with iMedicare, a Medicare Part D plan selection service that simplifies the process of choosing a suitable Part D plan.
Rather than spend hours manually entering patient information into the medicare.gov website, iMedicare automatically inputs patient information from the pharmacy management system and generates Part D plan options ideal for the patient. Barry Klein of Klein’s Pharmacy offers assistance with Medicare open enrollment at his pharmacy. “We’re really trying to work on newly eligible Medicare recipients to make sure they can go through the process because, believe me, it’s a struggle to do. I’m in the health care industry, and if I struggle with it, I can’t imagine how an older member of society can go through that process and make an informed decision,” he says. “We use iMedicare, which integrates with PioneerRx, and it’s nice because it brings up the patient profile so all of the medications are entered.”
PioneerRx has worked with iMedicare to take this integration a step further by creating MTM alerts directly in the workflow. Now, patients who may qualify for Part D enrollment become MTM actions in the MTM queue. Right-clicking on the MTM action will reveal a “View URL” option that will redirect to the iMedicare site to complete the plan selection process.
The ongoing open enrollment period provides the perfect opportunity to implement iMedicare into the pharmacy workflow and Medicare Part D open enrollment process. For more information, submit a call request to your account manager.
